Barbara Ann Magas, 68, of Sykesville, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, at Jefferson Manor Brookville

She was born June 25, 1952, in DuBois, a daughter of the late L. B. Wineberg and Dorothy Mae Shepler, Wineberg of Punxsutawney.

Surviving relatives include five children, son Larry Kitchen and wife Melody Whittaker Kitchen from Jacksonville, Florida, daughter Tammy Kitchen, Schultz and husband Terry Schultz of La Jose, daughter Christine Kitchen Norton and husband Billy Norton from Shelbyville, Tennessee, son Jacob Kitchen of DuBois, and son Malcolm Cattau Jr. of Sykesville, who passed away Sept. 20, 2019.

Barb has 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

She has two brothers and two sisters, Tom Wineberg and wife Mihycha Song Wineberg of Lawton Oklahoma, Edward and wife Julie Zambory Wineberg of Punxsutawney, Fran Wineberg Geer of Rossiter and late husband Ron, and Cindy Wineberg Geer of Curwensville.

Barb will be remembered as a loving and kind person who led a simple life and never wanted more than what she had.

She worked as a housekeeper at a hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, for many years.

She enjoyed going to country/western concerts, particularly The Moore Brothers, with her friend Judy Simmons, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation due to COVID-19 concerns.
