Catherine Heichel

Catherine 'Kitty' L. Heichel, 92, of Clearfield passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
She was born on October 15, 1931 in Woodland, a daughter of the late Harold and Fannie (Maines) Stephens.
Mrs. Heichel retired from CVS after working there for 20 years. Upon retiring, she decided to go back to work for 5 more years at the I-80 Sheetz in Clearfield.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Penney of Lynwood, WA; three sons, Ron Heichel of Clearfield, Stephen Harold Heichel and wife Tracy of Clearfield, and Jamie Heichel and wife Margaret of Katy, TX; five grandchildren, Lindsay Wellnitz and husband Sean of Edwards, WA, Kris Penney of WA, Scott Heichel and wife Brittany of New Kensington, Katrina Heichel and fiance Dylan of TX, and Matthew Heichel of TX; three great-grandchildren, Cooper Heichel, Ruby Wellnitz, and Nina Wellnitz; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blair 'Hike' R. Heichel on June 28, 2019 and whom she wed February 6, 1951 in St. Francis Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty and Helen.
Honoring Mrs. Heichel's wishes, there will be no public services. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
