David Paul Blair, 70, of Ruffs Dale, PA, went home to be with our Lord and Savior late Saturday evening, August 31, 2024 at Cedarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Tyrone.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Elizabeth and Herbert Paul Blair.
Surviving are his two daughters: Heather (Doug) Ebersole of Claysburg and Amber (Duane) Dyer of Altoona; two beloved grandsons: Riley Ebersole and Parker Ebersole; one brother, Herbert Wayne (Ruth) Blair; and three sisters: Donna (Larry) Olsen of Michigan, Betty (Michael) Litz of Altoona, and Lori Blair of Duncansville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his cat, Gideon, who was his loyal companion.
David was a 1971 graduate of Altoona High School and attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He worked for many years in marketing with the McDonald’s Corporation in Pittsburgh. He loved being on stage with Ronald McDonald, playing the role of Safari Dave. David loved painting, flowers, going to amusement parks, especially Disney World, and the beach. While in Pittsburgh, David played as an extra in nine movies.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, followed by a memorial service at noon at the Altoona Bible Church with Pastor Stewart W. McClelland.
