David Litz Sr., of Curwensville, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2022.
Mr. Litz was born in Clearfield PA on April 30, 1952, the son of Raymond and Rebecca (Maines) Litz.
You were more likely to find Mr. Litz on a fishing bank or in a deer stand, or perhaps on 4 wheeler than you would at the local pub or restaurant. His passion for hunting and fishing is what filled his free time. He was equally passionate in teaching others the skills he mastered throughout his lifetime, especially flying ties and flyfishing. Mr. Litz spent time living in Delaware, Maryland, and Florida. But central PA always held his heart and was his true home that he returned to. Mr. Litz also loved being around children, both young and young at heart. He was a very convincible Santa Clause when the occasion arose always volunteering, he was eager to put on the suit and hat anytime there was a need. He loved bringing a smile to those who needed to believe.
Mr. Litz was survived by his loving companion Margaret Besch, his only son David Litz, Jr of Delaware. Mr. Litz came from a large family that included Susan Helsel of Kellytown, Bob Litz (Carol) of Bloomington, Sandra Hensley (Edward “Butch”) of Ephrata, William (Pat) Litz of Grant, Mich., Edward (Vicky) Litz of Kellytown.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Litz of Kellytown, and sister Joanne Holt of Olanta.
There will be no public ceremonies held.
