Dennis James Rauch Sr.

Dennis James Rauch Sr., 69, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at his home.

Dennis was born May 31, 1955, the son of Thomas B. Rauch and Ruth (Lansberry).

He was a member of the Hyde Volunteer Fire Company since 2014. He proudly served the community with his Hyde City family as part of the Fire Police where he enjoyed making the ladies smile and laugh at Bingo on Monday nights.

In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Dennis is survived by his children, Denise (Jamaal) Rauch, Ginger (Frank) Palumbo, Dennis Rauch Jr., Kayla Rauch, Elizabeth (Louis) Stubbs, Daniel Rauch, Lita Rauch; step children, Robert (Melissa) Rothrock, Sherry (Russ) Woods, Brandy (Terry) Rothrock, Shelia Rothrock, Kimberly (Rich) Smeal, and Denise Hunley; his grandchildren, Malikye (Bri), Landon, Rainey, Layla, Riah, Morgan, Myteia, Jozsiah, Dream, Sylier, Janah, Jayden, Savannah, Camden, Maddison, Liam, and Felix; and siblings, Kathy Luzier, Trudy Armstrong, Rose Rauch, Naomi Rauch, William Rauch, Robin Rauch, and Joseph Rauch; and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded is death by his wife Mary (Trettel) Rauch whom he wed August 1, 1996. He was also preceded in death by a son, George 'Buddy Ray' Shirey; four brothers, Thomas E. Rauch, Johnny Rauch, Walter Rauch, and Richard Rauch; and two sisters, Debra Gladfelter and Margaret Gearhart.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Hyde Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall on Friday, January 3, 2024 at 4 PM.
