We are saddened to announce the departure of our beloved Frederick W. “Bill” Rishel of Curwensville, PA. Born May 14, 1944. Wonderful loving husband, father and friend. Bill departed this life peacefully at home on January 23, 2022. With God guiding his way. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family. Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife Marian Rishel; sisters, Patty Bressler and husband Merle, Peggy Duttry and husband Bud, and Joanne Duttry; sister in-law Joanne Rishel, brother in-law Howard Robison, brother in-law Gary Roland and wife Elaine, and sister in-law Melanie Roland; Daughters Robin Tutt and her husband Joe, Kimberly Bickett and husband Joe; Step daughter Renee Runfola, step son Frank Runfola and fiancé’ Denise Togay; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and former wife and mother of his children Patricia Henchbarger, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bill was proceeded in death by his Mother Genevieve Buzzard Rishel and father Robert Rishel Sr., 2 brothers, a sister, 2 brother in-laws and a grandson.
Bill always had a love for automobiles, working in car dealerships until he became an entrepreneur in his 30’s. Bill always loved to spend time with his family and friends. Bill took his grandkids to the roller-skating Rink and when it came up for sale, Bill bought the roller-skating rink. Bill loved the roller rink and loved that his grandchildren could come all the time and skate with him. Bill was a very good skater. He could dance on his skates, always requested by his patrons to be the lead, he always had a line of dancers following suite behind him. All his patrons would beg him to come skate during the dance songs, and Bill loved this. Bill, also loved to ride dirt bikes, snowmobiles, 4 wheelers, and later went on to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Bill also had a deep love for animals. Growing up taking care of everything from a Bear, skunk, ground hog, to monkeys and fawns to his beloved dogs. Many remembering the Bear and then the Monkeys at the Clearfield County fair.
