James William Carney, 89, passed away after a long battle with dementia on November 20, 2024. Born on February 27, 1935, he was the son of Cora (Carney) Wilson and Walter Carney who preceded him in death.
Jim was a hard worker from a young age and never missed a day of work at the brickyard.
Jim is survived by three children, Marjorie Kashella, Donald Carney, Steve Carney and a sister Darlene Deacon.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Edward Carney, Robert "Bub" Carney, George Carney, Lorraine "Toot" Reams, Margaret "Marg" Turner, Norma Verbeck, Naomi "Tubby" Dotts, Jerry "Champ" Wilson and Joyce "Baggy" Evans.
His children would like to thank the three employees of Knickerbocker Villa that caringly attended to Jim during his passing. Also, thank you to Medi-Home Hospice for supplying the necessary medical equipment to aid in his comfort during his final weeks.
PA Simple Cremation was in charge of his arrangements.
