James ‘Jim’ Lee Endress Jr. went to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 24th, 2024.
He was born on April 17, 1962, to the late James Lee Endress Sr. and Mary Helsel in Altoona, PA.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy (Kat); both of his parents; and his brother, Jason.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild: Jennifer Krug and husband Adam (Kiley, Kameron, Kyle, Kenlie, & Gianna), Ryan Miller (Ryleigh), Linsey McFetridge and fiancé Paul (Jonathan, Landon, Olivia, Maddie, & Jack), Sheena Hissong and husband Marck (Peyton & Taylor), and Jim Endress III and wife Ashley (Connor, Aubree, & Blaire); siblings: Lisa McDannell and Melissa Mock; special friend Vicky Butler; and many friends, family, and animals who will miss him greatly.
Jim was a member of Crossroads Bible Church in Bedford and had a passion for spreading the word of God through missionary work during his travels. He dedicated his time to helping others through Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child, All for Him Ministries in Tennessee, and the Philly Dream Center. He enjoyed putting together backpacks for the homeless, and his missions work in Haiti left a profound impact on his life.
When he wasn’t volunteering, he loved hunting at the farm, fishing whenever he could, and spending time with his dog Mila and the goats. His love for his kids and grandkids was evident to anyone who spoke with him. He left them with lasting memories of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, ’80s hair bands, Mel Brooks, Tastykakes, floopies, and a home they could always return to.
A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Bible Church (5564 Business 220, Bedford, PA 15522) on Thursday, October 31, officiated by Pastor Mark Dillow. Friends and Family will be received from 10-11am with the Memorial Service starting at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Philly Dream Center, All for Him Ministry, or any charity of your choosing. To honor Jim’s memory, please consider helping someone in need.
