Marjorie Gaylor

August 27, 1928 — December 27, 2020

Marjorie Buehler Gaylor of Ridgway, passed into the arms of Jesus on December 27, 2020 at the age of 92.

Marge was born on August 27, 1928, in Ridgway, PA, the daughter of the late Robert and Freda (Abplanalp) Buehler. She married Robert M. Gaylor on October 10, 1947, who preceded her in death in October 1999.

She is survived her daughter Kim (Alan) Eckert , granddaughter Erin (Richard) Hughes, granddaughter Kasey (Brandon) Hull, and four great-grandchildren, Henry and Makenzie Hughes, and Kingsley and Gunnar Hull, two brothers, Richard (Sylvia) Buehler, Lawrence (Maureen) Buehler, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Gunnar Bradfield Gaylor, her sister Jean Brian, two brothers Robert and Jack, and several nieces and nephews.

Marge demonstrated the heart of Jesus to all that she encountered: volunteering her time, talents, kindness, and possessions in serving others and in serving many ministries and organizations. She spent her time sending thousands of handwritten cards, crocheting hundreds of hats and blankets for those who may need them, and always had homemade treats to share. She was ready with a warm hello, a wonderful conversation, and a comforting hug. She was the best hugger and firmly believed that every single person needed at least eight per day. She loved her Jesus and her family above all else.

A service honoring Marge’s life will be held at Hallton Church of Christ, Evergreen Drive, Ridgway, on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11am, Pastor Ron Burkett officiating. If desired, memorials can be made to Boy Scout Troop 93 (c/o Derrick Goode, 309 Early Avenue, Ridgway) or Hallton Church of Christ, PO Box 212, Ridgway.
