Merle "Jim" Bailey passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side, on Nov. 8th 2022, at the age of 85.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Coleen Bailey. He is also survived by his daughter Jodi, of Ridgway, his grandson Jim Olin also of Ridgway, and Nicole Olin of Bradford. His sister Ruth(Raymond Rougeux) of Clearfield, and a brother Raymond Bailey of Lockport NY. He is also survived by his great granddaughters London, Sydney, and Liberty, of Kersey Pa.
He is preceded in death by his Mother Ada Dillon Bailey, and his Father Alvin Bailey, brothers Glenn, Donald, Walter,Ben,and David Bailey. Sisters, Okla Belmont, Shirley Folmer, and Dorothy McCracken.
He will be remembered as an avid bowler, having bowled a 300 game in 1985, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his great granddaughters, who will miss their beloved pap pap.. In his spare time and after he retired he spent his summers going to Hazen where he set up every season with his antique collectibles. He served briefly in the Armed Services, being honorably discharged due to a vision problem. He will forever remain in the hearts of everyone he touched, due to his camaraderie, and laughter.
Services for Merle Bailey will be held at the West Side United Methodist Church, 317 Nichols St. Clearfield on Wednesday Nov. 16th 2022 @ 12 noon.
