Patricia A. Charles, 73 , of Clearfield died on Sunday March 10, 2019 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

She was born on April 28, 1945 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Oliver and Viola (Kline) McCracken.

Mrs. Charles was a homemaker and took care of her family who she loved spending time with. One of her favorite things to do was go for rides on the mountain. She enjoyed telling stories about her childhood, as well as making sure her opinion was always known.

She was Catholic by faith.

She is survived by three children, Clifton 'Kip' Charles and wife Selena, Michael Charles and wife Bobbi Jo, and Jeannie Marie Charles, all of Clearfield; ten grandchildren, Kaelynn Charles, Lana Charles, Mikey Charles, Haylee Charles, Kelsee Charles, Brendan Charles, Dylan Harmic, Hunter Charles, Jacob Swartz, Lily Lumadue, Olivia Charles, and Logen Charles; a nephew who she raised like a son, Jimmy Charles, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton P. Charles Jr. on February 6, 2005. She was also preceded in death two brothers, David and William McCracken; and a sister, Peggy McCracken.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society 108R North Second St., Suite 1B, Clearfield, PA, 16830, or Elk County Visitor's Center 950 Winslow Hill Rd., Benezette, PA 15821.

PA Simple Cremation, Clearfield, is assisting the family with arrangements.
