Robert Charles Cossar Jr., 93, a lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2024 at the home of his son, Dwayne Cossar, in Grampian, PA. He was born on April 18th, 1931 in Niagara Falls to Robert Cossar and Pearl (Nashwinter) Cossar.
Robert Honorably served in the U.S. Army. After his military service, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry.
He loved fishing and playing card games with the family, helped make around 10,000 crosses to give away, supported Revved for God, was a deacon and secretary at Weston Avenue Gospel Chapel in Niagara Falls, NY, and was a selfless giver who gave to all.
Robert was married to his beloved wife Ressie (Keith) Cossar. Ressie preceded him in death, as well as his siblings. He is survived by his son Dwayne Cossar of Grampian, PA and his daughters and their children, step-daughter MaryEllen (Peddicord) Sylvester, step-son Randall Peddicord, and many grand and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating Robert's life will be held June 25th at Jubilee Christian Center in Hyde, PA. Doors will open at 5pm, and the service will begin at 6pm.
Robert's cremated remains will be laid to rest with his wife in Niagara Falls, NY at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to RevvedforGod.org in his memory.
