Shirley G. White, 72, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born on September 27, 1946 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Floyd 'Slim' and Helen (Welker) Welch.
Mrs. White was a homemaker, past leader and past service director for the Girl Scouts, and a former master of the Olanta Grange. She was Christian by faith.
She is survived by two children, Beulah 'Penny' White and Vernon White, both of Clearfield; a step son, William T. White; three grandchildren, Jenna White and companion Alan Cantolina, Tanner and Chael White; two sisters, Dorothy Passmore and husband Robert of Olanta and Kimberly Selfridge and husband William of Woodland; a brother, Larry Welch and wife Gwen of Olanta; and several nieces and nephews with whom she was close.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. White; a sister, Beatrice Kukla; and a brother-in-law, John Kukla.
A memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army, Clearfield on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 1 PM. A time to receive friends will be from 12-1 PM.
